Just when I thought life would slow down last fall so I could work
on my 6 new patterns that have been waiting to be written, God
stirs up my life, AGAIN!!!
Our daughter and grandson came back from Phoenix to pick up a car
given her and they stayed 6 weeks. During that time, my husband
was offered a new job in Valley Forge, PA (suburb of Philly).
Jim started Thanksgiving week and Catie, Aryan, and I traveled to
PA to spend Thanksgiving with him. When I returned to Rhode Island
it was time to get busy packing up all of my sewing/quilting world
plus decorating for Christmas and staging our home to put on the
market. The house went on the market the week before Christmas
and within 3 weeks we had an offer. Later in January we got the
relocation estimate and decided we needed to pack and move ourselves
– what was I thinking!!! As you can see there has been no time to
write my patterns. However, I squeezed time in over Christmas
break to have a few days of pattern testing so my patterns will
be better than ever. A special THANK YOU to all the girls that
came to test my patterns and a huge THANK YOU to all of you who
have been patiently waiting for several years for some of the
patterns to be written and published.
As of right now, we are in limbo for a few weeks with a delayed
closing. Where do we move to temporarily and where does God want
us now? Our household including all my patterns are in storage
in NJ and we are living in a hotel. At least we are finally together
and Jim doesn’t have to commute back and forth every weekend to
pack the Pack Rats (like Pods). We appreciate your prayers and
patience the past several months.
With relocating to a new area, it will take time again to
reestablish a teaching schedule however, I am available to trunk
shows and guild classes. I am currently working on a new website
so be please be patient as we try to make it better than ever.
